Ram Chief Talks Trucks, Dodge Shakes and Bakes

Recently, the CEO of Ram Trucks, Robert Hegbloom, sat down for some Q and A with the folks over at Car and Driver. They discussed a number of topics, ranging from recent success and growth, to aluminum, to midsize pickups.

While answering one question about Ram’s increased volume sales last year, Hegbloom hit upon the company’s goals in delivering one of the best all-around trucks to its customers. He said:

“Basically, we look at our customers and see that they play in a number of areas: work, outdoor [recreation], motorsports, and even [just using the truck] as a family vehicle. And in those spaces, customers are looking for something unique. But the first thing with a light-duty truck is fuel economy, which is so different from where it was a few years ago. We want to deliver on fuel economy first, and then, depending on what their particular needs are, make sure we have the right package.”

To us, this epitomizes what our customers are looking for when they show up at our door. The Ram 1500 is an honest-to-goodness truck that covers everyone’s bases, and it’s important not to lose sight of that. The EcoDiesel engine also offers best-in-class fuel economy, which customers frequently report exceeding.

Shaking it up on the Dodge side of things, there’s an exciting announcement for fans of the Challenger. You may remember last year when Dodge brought back the shaker hood for a limited run on America’s most unapologetic muscle car. They produced just two-thousand of these special edition models, and those sold out in only four days.

Now the Shaker is back, and this run is unlimited. That’s right, there’s no limit to how many Challenger R/T’s can have Shakers in 2015. For specs and details on pricing, follow this link.

Finally, Leith CDJR is the best place to find a new Dodge in Raleigh.
