Last week was a big one for Jeep for a couple of reasons.
First, Jeep stormed into China, no holds barred. They brought four stunning and luxurious concepts to the Beijing Auto Show. Our audiences will recognize the basic shape of all of them, but to the Chinese they are quite fresh.
Two of the Jeep concepts in Beijing are variants of the Cherokee: The Jeep Cherokee Sageland and the Jeep Cherokee Urbane. The Sageland is inspired by the mystical region of Shangri-La with a bronze and ivory color scheme, and the Urbane evokes “the night life of a modern megacity” with its charred exterior and dark red leather interior.
The third concept was another familiar face, the Jeep Wrangler Sundancer. Its rich Chocolate Brown paint is complemented with lavish Gold Billet aluminum wheels. LED taillights and plush leather on the interior finish out this high-end Wrangler.
Then finally, the new Jeepster debuted as the Jeep Renegade Zi You Xia, which translates to “Rebel.” (It’s the Renegade Rebel so you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that this is the edgiest Jeep ever). This one has an even darker shade of chocolate paint and charcoal accents. All it needs now is a Graham Cracker leather interior and some marshmallows and the s’mores motif will be complete.
Speaking of the Renegade, our second reason Jeep had a big week is the American debut of the Jeep Renegade in New York. If you missed the live unveiling at the press conference, you are free to watch it again, here. You’re so free to watch it that you might win some free stuff by doing so. The video player is powered by Mativision, which allows you to click and drag within the stream to rotate the camera toward any angle you want. There are even three cameras to choose from. Furthermore, embedded within the video itself are five tokens that you can use to enter the sweepstakes for a Jeep brand adventure kit. The kit includes among other things a Jeep branded backpack and a portable mobile charger. Watch the video and collect the tokens for up to five chances at winning (and they’re really easy to find, trust us – we got them all in about fifteen seconds).
