Price Drop Boosts Viper, New Trims Available for Pre-Order

When last we checked in on Dodge and SRT’s most notable halo car, it was struggling ever so slightly. The Viper was suffering some setbacks, including a few periods during the summer where production was halted altogether. Clearly changes needed to be made, and so changes were made for the better. The car was officially folded back under the Dodge banner, along with the rest of SRT. It also benefitted from a boost of five horsepower, and most importantly, its retail price was dropped by $15,000.

Viper sales are on the rise once again, and in light of that trend, Dodge is offering a filled out lineup for the snake. Two additional models are set to begin production soon and show up at dealers early next year.

The first is the TA 2.0 Special Edition, which sports a precision Aero Package. That means it will be equipped with the following:

• front lower dive planes
• front splitter
• competition rear spoiler
• dual-mode suspension for 18- or 19-inch matte black wheels
• Pirelli PZero Corsa tires
• Brembo brake rotors with black and orange calipers
• five-mode electronic stability control
• rear carbon fiber applique

The second is the Viper GTS. It comes standard with Laguna leather seats, an Alcantara headline, and an eighteen speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The GTS also has the distinction of being the only Viper available in Ceramic Blue with black stripes.

There’s a full press release with all the little details on Autoblog if you want to read it.

Once again, these models will be available in the first quarter of next year. They are already available for pre-order, and as your local Dodge dealer we would be happy to discuss the Viper or any other Dodge vehicle we have for sale. Visit us at Leith Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in the Raleigh area.
