Motor Trend has chosen the RAM 1500 as its Truck of the Year. Again.
You read that right: The 1500 has bested the competition two years in a row. If that wasn’t enough, it’s the first time Motor Trend has ever given back-to-back “Of the Year” awards, so you know this is a big deal and a huge honor.

To pull off this stunning victory, the 1500 edged out the competition in six different categories, including Advancement in Design, Engineering Excellence, Efficiency, Safety, Value, and Performance of Intended Function. Not surprising, the truck’s best criterion was Engineering Excellence. That 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine is a technological marvel, and paired with an eight-speed automatic it can generate 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, allowing this beast to tow 10,000 pounds of freight.
