Chrysler Goes “Beneath the Surface” of New 200

Nowadays, the inside of a car looks more like a spaceship than ever. Credit to us, we’ve adapted, and most of us can find our way around even with all the buttons, knobs, dials, and touchscreens we’re confronted with on a daily basis.

There’s still only a select few who really understand what’s happening underneath all of that, though. Do you know what you’ll find if you pop out your center console? What lies beyond your dashboard? Unravel the coils snaking through the engine compartment, and what do you get?

Getting to watch all the components of your car as they are put together may seem about as likely as witnessing the birth of the universe.

And yet it’s possible.

With the 2015 200, Chrysler put together an experience called “Beneath the Surface.” It uses virtual reality powered by Oculus to put you inside the all-new sedan in a way you’ve never imagined any other car.

Chrysler is proud of the engineering that has gone into this all-new vehicle, and they have every right to be. It features two tremendous powertrain options with the 2.4L Tigershark® MultiAir® II four-cylinder engine on one hand and the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine on the other. Opt for the Tigershark and treat yourself to an EPA estimated 36 mpg on the highway. Go for the V6 and you’ll be tearing up the roads with the raw energy of 295 best-in-class horsepower. It’s a win-win scenario.

Both engines also come with the class-exclusive nine-speed automatic transmission, a new gearbox from Chrysler that offers smooth distribution of power and first-rate fuel economy.

All of the above comes with a 5-year/100,000 mile warranty, which covers all parts and labor on eligible components.
